Happy First Day Of Fall!
Happy first day of fall to all of you. Autumn is so lovely here in New England. Our neighbor's maple tree turns its lovely red and yellow very early each year. These leaves are actually some of the last to turn and fall off. The girls have enjoyed finding all the pretty ones.
I don't think I have a favorite season. I love each one for different reasons. God has given us such a blessing with these changes.
We had a lovely and relaxing weekend. On Saturday Ainsley had soccer first thing then we went to a local park where they were having their annual "Country Fair."
Ainsley got her face painted. She wanted her whole face made into a heart.
And they got to ride ponies! See how excited she is.
Lorelei was a little nervous, but she absolutely loves ponies right now, so she got over it.
...pulled by these gorgeous horses.
And Ainsley walked across the rope bridge put up by the Boy Scouts.
There has been much going on here keeping us busy. This week looks to be a little more quiet.
Enjoy the first days of autumn, everyone.

Awww, that looks like so much fun! I think Gabriel would have freaked out about the ponies, although he likes to pet them. Maybe he would try it - he's getting over some of his other fears. Your girls look so cute in their pants and long sleeves.... I'm jealous!
Happy first week of fall to you too. This is when I miss New England the most. You guys look busy. The girls are really growing up mom. Have a great day!
I'm jealous of your New England autumn. Here in SW Missouri there is much to be desired when fall rolls around. I miss my northern fall season!
Your girls look so cute on the ponies!
Now that was a fun weekend you had there! The photos are so sweet. We've seen a few leaves that have turned, but for the most part, Autumn here in Indiana usually arrives the first week of October. Today, though, it feels like an Indian Summer with temps at 83*! I love the festivals this time of year ... I remember my son's first pony ride ... he loved it, and hayrides of course are the best! You enjoy your first days of Autumn, as well, and have a happy Tuesday! <><
What a fun post! I love reading about the adventures you have with your family. The girls are beautiful. Happy Autumn!
Looks like you guys had a fun-filled Saturday. Very cute pictures.
I wish I had known about the fair on Saturday, it would have been fun to go to. Hope you're having a good night.
WOW! What a great time that must have been! I'm all for the pony riding! I can't beleive how big your little girls are getting! It's amazing to me how time flies. Happy Autumn. Love, Elisha
Your girls are so adorable! This was such a fun post! It looks like a very memorable time together.
It looks like you made the most of the beautiful weather. I think our maple trees got wind of the first day of fall - there is twice as many leaves on the ground as yesterday! That just means that it is time to go rake them in a pile and have a great day jumping in them.
I LOVE AUTUMN! And I love family fun days like the one you just shared about!
What great pictures of your family!! I'm so glad you posted them! Our trees are on the front edge of changing...a bit of color is starting to appear! It's my favorite time of the year! I wish I could have fall weather all year!
Have a fantastic day!
What a beautiful family you have! But I have to respectfully disagree... when you've had autumn, and you move to a place that doesn't really have autumn - the beauty of it... you miss it! Because I know the beauty of it, it is my favorite season! Take care! Tracy
I love that first picture! It is so cute. Your girls are just precious. It looks like you guys had a great time!! I love the heart face painting to:) I hope you have had your slower week this week:) I will send you the recipe for the rice, it's very easy. My kind of recipe:)
What fun pics! Your girls are soooo adorable!
ryc--I know how you feel about being grateful for the growth God works in our lives since those teenage years. Yikes! Thank You, Lord, for your mercy!
I had to come back over to your site to see the beautiful fall leaves. Our weather is FINALLY just barely starting to cool off - nice mornings and evenings - but the "greenery" is all still green or brown:) ... We do actually get some red trees in December and January - ha!! I guess red trees aren't quite the same as fluffy white snowflakes, but hey, we take what we can get. Hope all is well!
