Blessings
I rolled over at 6:11 yesterday morning and saw my husband still in bed.
I shook him. "Josh, it's after 6:00!!!" I said, stunned he was not jumping out of bed at the shaking.
"I took the day off," he said without even rolling over to look at me.
"WHAT?????"
He rolled over looked at me and gave me a silly grin. "I took the day off to do some things around here and to help you since the last two days have been so bad."
Me, still incredulous.... "REALLY???"
"Yup." And then he hopped out of bed.
Ainsley heard someone go downstairs, peeked out of her room and screamed, "DADDY!!!"
That was it for our peaceful morning. Everyone was up after that. By 8:00 a.m. we were outside working and Lorelei was so tired she was back in bed for a nap.
This was part of the reason Josh wanted to stay home.
Someone Josh works with wanted this out of their yard. He offered it to Josh if Josh would take it down and haul it away. So, he happily did. What a blessing! He spent the whole morning putting it back together while I pressure washed all the other toys and the patio.

My kids are having so much fun. Ainsley woke up at 6:00 this morning begging to go outside and play on it again.Lorelei's shirt says "Reporter in Training."

It has been quite dry here. There have been very few April Showers. So, we tried to get some of our lawn watered yesterday. Who do you think had to get right in on that?

Lorelei was unsure, so she stayed on the sidelines for a bit.
Then she got brave, but figured out to run away before it came back the other way.
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement on my last post. Yesterday was better, but we had a rough night at church last night. Please keep me... all of us... in your prayers. We could greatly use them.

Love ya!
What a fun day! I love the days that brake the routine. Enjoy your day
how fun!!!! I love getting free stuff--especially when it's something like that!!!
I'll be praying for you--have a good day today!
This is PRECIOUS! Kudos to your hubby!!!!!
Love the darling pics...I love them so much, your baby bending over the sprinkler reminds me of Marianna, i have a pic of the same pose of her over a sprinkler with Lea when they were around that age.
It's been a difficult week for me as well. Things are looking up now for me too but boy oh boy what an attack.
Love to you dear one. You are doing the best thing, taking care of those children. : ) Your position is a high one and endearing to the Lord.
Awesome playset!!! What a fun summer it's going to be at your house! Two thumbs up for the hubby...I Iove it when my Corey sees I am totally tapped out and does something special to help me regain my balance!
Have a great day!
Yay! I love it. Looks like they had such a great time. Lorelei's shirt is too cute, and your hubby ~ what a sweetie!
What fun! Kudos to Daddy too! How sweet of him to take a day off to give you a bit of a break and the kids a new playset! It's amazing how much time kids can spend with even just a simple swing. :)
Oh, wow! What am amazing blessing, and even better coming as a surprise! That was so nice of your husband. And *my* husband would be way jealous of that jungle gym thingy! We were walking through a nice neighborhood a while back - I was oohing and ahing over the houses, and he was oohing and aahing over the play equipment in their yards... Men....
Church can be a hard time for "difficult" children, of which I was one. Every so often I have to hear the stories rehashed of the many times I was carried out of the service kicking and screaming. But it eventually go through, I guess! Because (in my own humble opinion) I was a pretty well-behaved older child and teenager. NOW is when it's starting to wear off...
No really, we're going through a sticky phase with Gabriel too, and I can only keep trusting that the Bible still applies to today, when it gives us instruction on training children. *sigh* if only the CHILDREN would easily cooperate...!!!
Hope you all have a nice weekend - your weather looks beautiful!
What a great day, Cathi, and a sweet husband!! I love the pictures ... it looks like the girls are loving the new backyard addition there! That was such a blessing to your family! I'll be keeping you all in my prayers. I do hope you all have a wonderful evening!

That is SO great! I love the story and the swing set is beautiful! What great gifts! praying for you!
Hi Cathi! What fun! LM just loves his play equipment outside and it's much handier than going to the park. But trips to the park are still necessary sometimes.
I'm glad things are going better. I'll keep praying.
Love,
Laurie
What a BLESSING, that swing set is AWESOME
. The other blessing of course is your husband staying home because you had a rough week, that is so sweet. Hope you get to have a relaxing weekend.
