  • We close today!

It seems a bit anti-climactic since we're not actually going anywhere, but we are buying a house today.  We close on the house we are living in this afternoon.  Please pray that all will go smoothly and there won't be any "surprises," especially of the monetary kind.  It seems everything with this process has been more expensive than first expected.  We are excited to get going on doing things in the house now that it will officially be ours.

Also, please pray for my friend Jo.  I mentioned her about two months right after they lost their baby girl due to a cord accident during the birth.  Since then, Jo has had lots of different tests run and doctor's visits and she has some pretty serious health problems to contend with.  She will soon be going for an MRI to see if she has a mass on her pituitary gland.  Please pray for Jo and her husband Nathan, God is putting them through some great trials right now and they are coveting everyone's prayers.

After hearing about Jo, I realize I have nothing to complain about.  God has truly blessed us.  I shouldn't complain when I turn my back and my baby decides to dump oatmeal on her head.  (she looked much worse in person.)

    Oh well, she's still cute.

Ainsley had her last ballet class yesterday.  It was an observation class, so the parents were allowed to come in, watch and see what they've been learning.  Ainsley is probably more suited to playing sports than ballet, but she had fun anyway. Graceful... well she's working on it.  And she spent more time making faces at herself in the mirror than standing in first position.  Oh well... she's still cute, too.

  • I'll keep you in my prayers today.

  • CONGRATS on closing....though it seems anticlimactic, it is still exciting! That first pic. of Lorelie is TOO adorable. It totally makes me smile!

  • Congrats on the house! How exciting!!!

Your girls are so adorable and are getting soooo big!

    Have a great weekend!

  • What a fun day!  Closing on your home!  It's funny, we also had a closing today, but we were the sellers of a little 30s cottage my hubby fixed up for resale.  I was blessed to meet the sweet little couple buying it.  : )   I know the sellers of your home will feel the same way.

Your little baby never ceases to make me smile!  And the ballet pics...oh so cute.  My youngest, Rebecca 14 is my little ballerina.  It's so much fun having girls isn't it?

    Congratulations on the new home!

  • That's great about the house! Hope everything went well. You're right ~ the girls are cute! I'll be praying for Jo and Nathan. Please keep us posted.

  • Congrats!  I hope all went well!  Ainsley looks beautiful and I hope she has enjoyed her ballet experience!  Praying for Jo and her family!

  • I'm oh so tired this evening but just had to come on over to your site to say congrats on your house closing!  I think it's wonderful!

The pictures of the girls are so dear.  They are both so very cute!

I'll be praying for Jo and Nathan, I feel so badly for them.  Keep me updated, ok?

  • Hi Cathi ... I haven't been able to get over here, today, until now, but I was praying that all went well on the closing today! Can't wait to hear how things went for you! Lorelei looks so 'oatmealy' ... but oh, so cute ... she looks quite pleased with herself, actually! And Ainsley looks so sweet there in ballet class ... what little girl could ever resist making faces in a big mirror like that! Will she be taking more ballet classes after this? I agree, they are both so cute! Yes, we do have so much to be thankful for, don't we! God has truly blessed each one of us! I will be praying for your friend Jo, and her husband Nathan, as well. Have a blessed weekend there in your 'new home' together!
