Edit: We did not get the house. We are fine with that, we were getting so jerked around by the sellers that we were going to rescind our offer this morning if they had not rejected ours last night. We'll keep looking. The perfect house for us is out there...
This is your brain...

She received this lamb from us for her first Christmas. As you can see, she has loved him nearly to death. I call him the Velveteen Lamb. He truly has been loved enough to be alive.Lamb (he has no other name) used to look like the first picture, with nice, green fuzzy fur all over his head. But as Ainsley loved him, she picked off the fur, and often ate it. If you ask her what happened to Lamb's head, she'll tell you she ate it.
As time went on, she created a rather large hole in the top of his head. Which she then began sticking her fingers in, and of course, when her fingers came out, Lambs brains would come, too. Lamb has recently been losing "brain cells" at an alarming rate, and I have grown tired of picking up pieces of his brain and the vacuum is not happy with this chore either.
My parents thought they had a great idea and found her a new lamb on ebay for Christmas. They do not make this particular Care Bear Cousin any longer. I was hoping new lamb would replace old Lamb, but alas, now she just has two lambs to carry around instead. Thanks Mom and Dad.
For the moment, new lamb's brains and fur are still undamaged by Ainsley. So, in an effort to keep old Lamb on life support, I decided to do brain surgery. I stuffed him full of new brain cells and gave him a new "skull."
For those of you wondering about the house, well, so am I. We still haven't heard anything. We have really appreciated all of your prayers and kind words. After some initial frustration yesterday, it was amazing how God gave us both peace about the situation. We were able to just give it up to Him and not worry about it any longer. It's out of our hands. If that's the house God wants us to have, we'll get it. It's as simple as that.

I am so happy old Lamb has had successful reconstructive surgery. What an adorable entry.
Cute story! Jacob and I both enjoyed it.
I'll be waiting to hear news about your house. It sounds so ideal for you.
I'm sorry you haven't heard more on the house. I was going to call last night but I wasn't sure if I should or not.
I hope you're having a good afternoon.
It's funny that you're writing about this because the little girl of a friend of ours did the exact same thing to her stuffed lamb. The poor lamb was completely bald and also very much loved! How funny - something about those lambs!

Aww...it looks like Lamb is recovering well
So sorry that you didn't get the house, yes the "one" is still out there, waiting for you to find it.
Sorry that you aren't feeling well. I overdid it yesterday and spend the evening in tears. . .Rich took the kids to the library so I could have some quiet. I'm just plain worn and stressed out. *sigh* I'm going to make myself rest today, although I did go for a little walk outside already, I couldn't help it, it's so mild and the wind is blowing.

(I like using this particular prof. pic for your site, the colors match!)
I'm sorry about the house. There will be another perfect one for you, and it will go smoothly.
As for Lamb...the story is almost exactly like Night-Nights, Scotlyn's lamb. Her lamb is one of the blanket loveys, with just a head and arms on tops. She got it at a baby shower, and hasn't slept w/o it since. She's almost ten. Poor night night has no pretty satin on her anymore, or stuffing in her arms (brains intact still!), or anything. Mil once tried to put new blanket binding on her and make her look new, but Scotlyn screamed until I had to rip everything off and give it back to her they way it was. Mil was insulted, but I don't have to listen to her screaming all night cuz someone violated night night.
I'm glad Ainsley likes her new Lamb, and now has twins.
What an adorable story, Cathi! Reminds me ... my son had a stuffed gorilla when he was younger ... it was very cuddly ... he called him 'Grilly'! He wore a hole in the side of his leg much the same way as Ainsley did the lambs head! I performed the necessary 'surgery' as well ... we had looked but could never find another one just like it, and I don't think Ian would have been content with another! I still have 'Grilly' waiting for my grandchildren ... someday! He's packed away in the basement!!! The packing is going ...well, it's just going!! It's slow, but that's okay. It takes time to sort through everything! Who knows what I may come across that will prompt a post!!
I'm continuing to pray about a house for you! God has his way of closing doors and opening windows ... He knows what's best and that sense of relief that you're feeling is His way of telling you there is something better in store! You be blessed, and have a wonderful day yourself!
Hey girl, I'm sorry you're not feeling well, Josh told me tonight you aren't feeling well. (you're sneaky, you didn't tell me on the phone today LOL) Anyway, I hope you start feeling better soon, and I'm still praying you find that special house, that one that's got a big BIG mark on it, marked just for you guys.
Talk to you soon. Lots of love, Trish
Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to come by anytime
