  • If she doesn't make you smile,

    there's something wrong with you.
I'm home from church on a Sunday trying to recover from a nasty something-or-other that has made me feel pretty lousy for the last week.  This thing has really knocked me out, especially the last few days.  Thankfully, my husband has taken over most of the household and childcare duties and I have spent life on the couch or in my bed.  Tomorrow morning will be a very rude wakeup call.  Please pray that I feel better and have a little more energy for the week ahead.  I have also been having some other health concerns and have had some tests run last week.  I should hear about them on Wednesday.  I'm just praying that I will be feeling more like myself very soon.

As for my hair... I took miss amelia's advice and used an ash blonde.  It took the orange and brassiness out, but still left it looking a little like highlights.  When I'm feeling better and actually have washed hair, I'll take a picture.  I promise.  Thank you for all of your advice and sharing with me your past stories of hair disasters.  It made me feel much better.

  • Awwww....Your baby is a darling!  I love her little outfit!  So cute!

Bless your heart, I'm so glad the ash rinse worked well.  I know that reddish look all too well!  I had gotten to the point of expecting it and would just always have ash coloring on hand!  lol

I must say though, you still looked very cute in the pic, even if the color didn't come out exactly right. ; )

So sorry you are feeling under the weather, my dds had the same thing and I had a touch of it too.  Some kind of virus going around, almost like the flu.

Praying you will feel better by tomorrow morning.  : )

    Hugs,  ~Mrs. Amelia  : )

  • I'll be praying you feel better tomorrow.  So glad your hair turned out ok.  Your baby girl is adorable and she DID make me smile!

ryc:  by all means, add it to your site.

  • I was so surprised when Josh said you weren't at church because you were sick!  I'm sorry, sweetie!  I'm concerned now!  Keep me posted on how you're feeling, okay?

And yes, L made me smile.  She's so so so so cute, Cathi!

  • praying you feel better soon!!!  can't wait to see the 'fixed' results!

  • Such a cutie!

  • Too cute for words! She does make me smile. So sorry you haven't been feeling well. Get some rest and I will pray for you. :)

  • I hope you're feeling better today!  I've been gone since Friday, and had missed your post yesterday!  I will be praying for you, Cathi!  Keep us posted on what those tests tell you!  I love the picture of you in the previous post, and the story!  I used to use 'Sun-In' on my hair when I was in my late teens early 20's...that was the thing...sunkissed hair!  I'd love to get mine highlighted...I may look into that!  And the leaves....oh my...they are beautiful, but it is early!  It looks like we'll have a colorful fall, that's for sure!  Some of ours have dropped off, but they just look brown and dried up!
And yes on that picture up there...I'm smiling!  How adorable she is!  Thanks for the visit over at 'my place' too!  I'm praying you'll be feeling better very soon!

    You have a blessed Tuesday!

  • Oh, she is getting so big! So sweet! Hope you feel better soon! :)

  • I hope you get to feeling better. Your daughter is adorable!

    Take care,
    Amy

  • She is absolutely adorible!!!

About your last post, I did the SAME thing to my hair probably 15 years ago.  I called in sick to work and stayed home and dyed it a darker color.  I wouldn't have taken a picture of it, I would have died!!  I did have to go to Walgreens for hair dye in the very early morning, with a baseball cap on.

Hope you have a great weekend!  Julie

  • Hope you feel better soon!

  • She made me smile!

  • Psalm 139 has touched my heart, as well, many times!  I'm so sorry for your loss, Cathi.  I also lost two children by miscarriage, and I know the pain that we can go through!  God is ever faithful, ever present, and those little ones are so very precious to Him!  We can take comfort knowing that they are with Him...waiting for us!  Thank you, Cathi, for sharing that with me!  You be blessed, and have a wonderful holiday weekend!

    Hugs,
    ~ Deborah <><
